2022

The following is an overview of 20th Century Studios-related events that have occurred or will occur in the year 2022. Many events that were originally planned for 2022 were either cancelled or postponed due to the highly-contagious Omicron variant's impact on life throughout the world and 20th Century Studios during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Theatrical releases

• January 14 - Nightmare Alley: Vision in Darkness and Light (Searchlight Pictures) was released in selected theaters in Los Angeles, and it soon expanded to selected theaters across the United States on January 21st.
• February 11 - Death on the Nile (20th Century Studios) was released to mixed reviews.
• May 27 - The Bob's Burgers Movie (20th Century Studios) was released to positive reviews.
• September 9
  • Barbarian (20th Century Studios) was released to positive reviews.
  • Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (Star Studios) was released to mixed reviews.
• September 16 - See How They Run (Searchlight Pictures) was released to mixed reviews.
  • Avatar (20th Century Studios) was re-released with an exclusive sneak peek at Avatar: The Way of Water.
• October 7 - Amsterdam (20th Century Studios) was released to mixed reviews.
• October 21 - The Banshees of Inisherin (Searchlight Pictures) was released to critical acclaim.
• November 18 - The Menu (Searchlight Pictures) will be released.
• December 9 - Empire of Light (Searchlight Pictures) will be released.
• December 16 - Avatar: The Way of Water (20th Century Studios) will be released.

Events

• May 27 - Disney Star announced that they have dropped the Fox name on Fox Star Studios and was renamed as Star Studios. Its logo and fanfare was still kept intact
