Abraham Jedediah "Grampa" Simpson also known as Grampa Simpson is the patriarch of the Simpson family, the father of Homer Simpson, the father-in-law of Marge Simpson (née Bouvier), and the paternal grandfather of Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson.

Abe is a World War II veteran who was later sent to the Springfield Retirement Castle by Homer. He is known for his long, rambling, and often inaccurate stories and general incompetence.
