Avatar 5 is an upcoming epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It is a direct sequel to Avatar 4 and the final film in the franchise. It is set to be released on December 19, 2031.

On July 31, 2017, Variety reported that 20th Century Studios would develop sequels to Avatar, with the fifth one being the final one in the franchise.[1]
Filming on Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 have not begun yet, as James Cameron is waiting for the audience response to Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: Fire and Ash.[2]
