Celebrating Around The World is a Barney First Movie 2 that was released on January 29, 2008.
Plot[]
A customized intro featuring the Imagination Train flies on a space background, before the camera pans to the Earth. The Imagination Train goes around the Earth to wipe the title from left to the right, then the video starts with turn a page. In the park, Ben is playing with his train. Ben images that his train is going to the big station downtown, while Tracy suggests it could go anywhere if he wanted it to. Disagreeing, Tracy decides that she wants to ride her bike and invites Ben to come along, however, he'd rather stay and play with his train. Ben invites Tracy to take a turn later, but she declines and instead would rather ride her bike. Tracy suggests to Ben that it's beautiful day for bike riding.
Barney eventually springs to life and is informed by both Ben and Tracy that they can't agree on anything. Barney suggests that having a party is something they can both agree on. Loving the idea, Barney also suggests that they have ice cream at their party. As Mr. Brantley arrives, Tracy asks if they could have Strawberry Supreme ice cream while Ben asks for Mint Chocolate Chip. Mr. Brantley only has Rainbow Swirl and Peach and is out of everything else. Tracy suggests Rainbow Swirl and Ben suggests Peach. Seeing that they're disagreeing, Mr. Brantley decides to head back to the shop to see if he could find anything they both might like. No matter what ice cream is served at the party, Barney suggests that the party will be great nonethless. Ben and Tracy begin to disagree about the theme of the party. Barney mentions that there are different ways to throw parties, and eventually shows them inside the caboose with a book about parties and celebrations around the world. As Tracy wishes they could visit one of the places in the book, Barney decides to take the two around the world to see how people celebrate by using their imaginations. So they'll have enough time to get ready for their party, Barney suggests that they take the train.
The first stop that the trio goes to on the Imagination Train is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Barney meets up with his friend Eliana. Eliana mentions to the three that Carnaval is about to begin soon, where they'll dance in the big parade. Eliana and her friends show the three how to samba. BJ and Baby Bop samba alongside the dancers. Tracy suggests to Ben that they have dancing at their party after seeing what she saw. Seeing that Ben and Tracy are disagreeing about how their party should be Barney, inquires as to what Eliana and her friends do to decide on their celebrations. Eliana mentions that they talk, put aside their differences and celebrate friendship. As the parade starts, the train arrives to take everyone to the next destination. BJ and Baby Bop decide to come along. The second stop on the Imagination Train is Ireland. Barney runs into his friends Brian, Siobbhan, Liam and Kelly. The four of them eventually show Barney and his friends their dance. As one of the dancers asks if they'd like to give it a try, Ben declines. Everyone tries to encourage Ben to give it a try. The dancers mention that they disagree on what kind of dances to do, but they work it out by deciding to take turns with one another. Eventually the train arrives to take everyone to their next destination.
The third stop on the Imagination Train is Japan. Barney runs into his friend Tomomi. Tomomi mentions that they arrived just in time for their festival where they'll have games, music and food and dances, prompting dancers to dance in honor of the Cherry Blossom. When the dance ends, Tomomi mentions that it's time to fly kites during the festival, allowing everyone to join in the fun. Eventually, the train arrives to take everyone to their next destination. The fourth stop on the Imagination Train is Kenya, Africa. Barney runs into his friend Abiade, who mentions that they've arrived just in time for their big dance. Dancers come out to show their dance to Barney and his friends as the drummers drum. One of the drummers also happens to be BJ and Baby Bop's cousin Riff! Riff greets everyone and introduces everyone to the drum he was playing. The gang is eventually introduced to a game that they like to play in Kenya, which is similar to hopscotch. Eventually, the train arrives to take everyone to their next destination. Riff tags along, and Abiade lets Riff keep the drum he was playing earlier as a gift.
The fifth and last stop on the Imagination Train is in India. Barney runs into his friends Sita and Priya. Everyone notices that the place around them is colorful. Priya and Sita eventually show Barney and his friends a special dance they like to do. After the dance concludes Priya and Sita disagree on what the best part of their celebration, but they eventually mention that working things out is what the festival is all about. Priya and Sita then show everyone the fireworks in the sky. Eventually, the train arrives to take everyone home. As they arrive back at the park, Barney suggests that they have their party be about friendship, given that's what Tracy noticed they all celebrate at the places they visited. Mr. Brantley eventually arrives to the party and expresses that he had both the original flavors they both desired. Ben and Tracy thank Barney for helping them settle their differences as the party guests arrive. Confetti rains down and everyone starts to dance.
