- “Wha-oh. Oh, hello. I know, right? Whose balls did I have to fondle to get my very own movie? I can’t tell you, but it does rhymes with Polverine. And let me tell you, (Australian accent) he’s got a nice pair of smooth criminals down under. Anyway, I got places to be, a face to fix, and oh- Bad guys to kill. Maximum effort.”

Wade Winston Wilson, also known as Deadpool, is a major character in the X-Men film series, serving as a supporting character turned antagonist in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the titular anti-heroic main protagonist of Deadpool and Deadpool 2.
He is Canadian, a mutant former mercenary and an intelligent, good hearted, determined, altruistic, ironic and crafty superhero. He gained enhanced physical attributes and rapid cellular regeneration from an augmentation program from Ajax, and decided to get revenge on him for causing his deformity. In the original timeline, he was member of Team X and Weapon X and was augmented by William Stryker to defeat Wolverine, but this was undid by the X-Men in Days of Future Past.
He is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds who also played Guy in Free Guy.
Personality[]
Deadpool is intelligent, good hearted, immature, heroic, altruistic, childish, ironic, crafty, loyal, and determinate as he really cares for the people who he loves especially his girlfriend Vanessa and Russell, although he is scorbutic before and after becoming a hero. He also left his girlfriend Vanessa so she wouldn't have to be burdened by him while while he was looking a cure for his cancer, caring more about the quality of their relationship than preserving it. However he did that only because he was insecure of this new aspect in their relationship, and when Vanessa accepts his circumstances, the two completely reconciled and back together.
While Wade is in a relationship with Vanessa, he is attracted to men as well, so when he finds one attractive, he sometimes flirts with them, regardless of gender, although this could also be due to his comedic personality. Deadpool generally delves into immature conversations with anyone, but with teens and pre-teens, he becomes moderately more bratty to mirror and mock their younger ages, with the exception of Yukio, who is the only person he always talks nicely to due to her sunny disposition.
Deadpool dislikes and aims to avoid paying money for anything, as he ditched the bill for Dopinder's taxi services and didn't seem to even pay for the pizza that Jeremy provided him with. Deadpool also enjoys chatting about pop culture, particularly movies and celebrities. While it was always an aspect of his personality, his humour is also a defense mechanism he uses to disguise his emotional and physical pain, the latter coming from his healing factor, since despite being able to recover from almost any injury, he still feels the pain of the damage and rapid recovery.
While Deadpool patterns himself as a "superhero," he holds no compunction about murdering his enemies, with the killing often being exaggeratedly bizarre or sadistic for the sake of comedy. Upon having Ajax/Francis at his mercy, Colossus attempted a speech about morality, but Deadpool merely executed Francis before the X-Man could finish; Deadpool realised that if letting monsters live is a requirement for a superhero, he'd rather not be one, and acknowledged he isn't a role model. Nevertheless, Deadpool can be pushed into being a more "noble" person, since after he is involuntarily made a mentor by young Russel Collins, and learning of the child's evil future as Firefist from Cable, he understood that some occasions means he he must rise above his own instincts as to help another person avoid falling down the same dark path that he did.
While he always had habits leaning on the peculiar, and affection for outcasts and oddities, his transformation significantly reinforced this trait. He quickly became enamoured with Peter, who was an average looking man, but he had a mustache, was slightly pudgy, and above average height, thus unique enough to be appealing; Peter was the only dead X-Force member that Deadpool bothered to save with Cable's time travel device, thus showing how much he sincerely liked Peter. He also became invested in saving Russell from his dark future, as he was overweight and a victim of abuse, the latter happening to Deadpool in his youth, thereby he empathized with the boy. Deadpool became immediately infatuated with Dogpool, despite how hideous she was, and allowed it to lick his mouth. His strange preferences also made him sometimes disdainful towards anything too beautiful, if it lacked any flaw or trauma, such as his attractive variant, Nicepool, who he treated with veiled threats and unintentionally caused his death by using him as a human shield - since he only wanted to hurt Nicepool, yet was unaware that he lacked their healing factor; even so, he felt indifferent to the death, or rather, more thrilled at the prospect that he could now be the owner of Dogpool, the ugly, ratty, malformed canine.
This preference or adoration of abnormal or unique elements seem to be a universal constant for every Deadpool, as every member of the Deadpool Corps opened fire even when Nicepool was in their line of fire, but stopped shooting while Dogpool was in the way, and were all instant admirers of Peter.
History[]
Deadpool (2016)[]
Wade Wilson is a former special forces operative who works as a mercenary in New York City. He meets the girl Vanessa at a local bar and they become romantically attached. One year later, Wade proposes to her and she accepts, but he suddenly collapses. Wade is diagnosed with terminal cancer and though Vanessa remains by his side, he fears losing her. A recruiter from a secret program approaches Wade and offers him an experimental cure for his cancer. Although Wade initially refuses, he later decides to leave Vanessa and undergo the procedure. At a laboratory, Wade meets Ajax and Angel Dust, whom he instantly resents. Ajax injects Wade with a serum designed to awaken latent mutant genes, then have him subjected to weeks of torture to trigger the mutation without success. Wade discovers Ajax's real name, Francis Freeman, and makes fun of him.
In response, Ajax straps Wade into an airtight chamber which raises and lowers the oxygen level to keep Wade constantly on the verge of asphyxiation. Ajax reveals to Wade their true purpose: to make super-powered slaves to be sold to wealthy customers. Several days later, Wade develops near-instant cell regeneration powers, which cures his cancer, but severely disfigures his face and skin. He escapes from the chamber and attacks Ajax, but relents when told that his disfigurement can be cured. Ajax subdues Wade, impales him with a rebar and leaves him in the burning laboratory. Wade attempts to reconnect with Vanessa, but then reconsiders this because of his appearance fearing that she'll see him as just a freak, and choosing not to go through the process of being rejected, keeps himself away from her.
After consulting his best friend Weasel, Wade decides to hunt down Ajax and have his disfigurement cured. He becomes a masked vigilante, takes the alias "Deadpool", and moves into the home of an elderly blind woman named Al, played by actress Leslie Uggams. Following a string of leads, Deadpool tracks down Ajax to a convoy of cars on an expressway. He kills all the escorts, corners Ajax and demands a cure to his disfigurement. The confrontation is interrupted by two X-Men, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who have been trying to recruit Deadpool. Taking advantage of the distraction, Ajax escapes. Deadpool gets angry at Colossus because he intervened in the situation and allowed Ajax to escape, then punches Colossus but loses the battle. Colossus handcuffs himself to Deadpool and begins dragging him away. Deadpool cuts off his own hand and escapes. His hand regenerates overnight.
Now knowing Wade is alive, Ajax goes to Weasel's bar and learns of Vanessa. Weasel calls Wade and tells him Vanessa is in danger. Wade goes to the bar she works at but, unable to face her, psyches himself up in the bathroom first. However, when he comes out, she is already kidnapped. Ajax and Angel Dust tell Deadpool to meet up with them on a decommissioned helicarrier in a scrapyard. Deadpool convinces Colossus and Negasonic to help him, and the trio take a cab to the scrapyard. While Colossus and Negasonic battle Angel Dust, Deadpool fights his way through Ajax's henchmen with one turning out to be his best friend Bob (who he first chats with, then knocks out, and continues to chat with Bob being unconscious as he drags away Bob's body to spell out Francis's name), and eventually engages Ajax in close combat.
After Angel Dust knocks out Colossus, Negasonic uses her power to repel her, but accidentally destroys the equipment holding the helicarrier upright. As the helicarrier tips over, Colossus wakes up and takes Negasonic and Angel Dust to safety while Deadpool successfully saves Vanessa. Ajax, still alive, attacks Deadpool, but is subdued and reveals there is no cure for Wade's disfigurement. Deadpool screams in agony that there is no cure and pulls out his Colt 1908 Vest Pocket, placing it on top of Ajax's forehead. Colossus begins urging Deadpool to be a true hero and spare his enemy due to the fact that there are only "4 or 5 moments when you're a real hero", but Deadpool executes Ajax anyways. Wade turns to Vanessa, who removes his mask revealing his face. Vanessa is angered that Wade left her, but still loves him. She accepts him, and they reconcile by kissing.
In a post-credits scene parodying Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Wade teases a sequel featuring Cable and tells the audience to clean up their trash.
Deadpool 2 (2018)[]
Two years after the first film, Deadpool is now a hero and a vigilante and is now more sensible and mature, despite him still having his sense of humor. He had been busy with killing criminals, and bumping off several organized crime organizations. However, while fighting against a Russian mobster, he runs away because he realised that he was late for his anniversary with Vanessa. He was chased by the leader's bodyguards, as he ran and leaped through the window of Dopinder's taxi, who drives him home. Dopinder told Wade that he wished to be a "heroic" contract killer like him, as he had been inspired by him. Wade is more or less supportive of this, comparing it to Kirsten Dust in a movie.
Wade arrives at his house and meets Vanessa who revealed to him that she wanted to have a child, so they had impregnation-allowing sex together. Afterwards, they watch TV and discuss names for the child, but a group of criminals enter the house and Wade fights them. After having defeated the criminals, the drug lord enters in the house and shoots at Wade, but he dodged it, thereby the bullet hit Vanessa, killing her to Wade's shock, sadness, and anger. Wade chases the criminal in the street and catches him. Wade is filled with immense rage so he grabs the criminal and the two are hit by a car. Still depressed over Vanessa's death Wade develops suicidal tendencies and attempts to kill himself repeatedly, however, his healing factor healed him from any injury that he could inflict upon himself.
Wade went to his friend's bar where Weasel tried to console him, but with little results. Wade is too depressed and one day, as Deadpool, he fills his apartment with explosives and blows himself up. However, all his body pieces are still alive, but despite this Wade has a spiritual pre-death experience where he meets Vanessa who told to him that his heart was not in the right place, leaving Wade confused. When he reawakened in the real world, he's still in pieces, but Colossus entered the house and took all Deadpool's pieces and put Wade back together. Colossus escorted Wade to the X-Men house and attempted to recruit him in the X-Men again and helping him with his pain.
Once rebuilt, Wade started to joke about the X-Men until Colossus, sick, took him by the neck and immobilized him, Colossus told to him who was at fault for Vanessa's death, which Wade admitted that he was the one at fault for Vanessa's death, Colossus tried to console him and told that joining the X-Men could help him recover and find peace by following a noble cause; Wade for the first time accepted the invitation and joined the X-Men, although considered a trainee.
Their first mission is stop a young mutant kid named Russell Collins aka Firefist who escaped from a orphan institute for mutants and his anger made him attempt to attack the institute's staff for their cruelty they inflicted upon him, Deadpool, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (who is in a romantic relationship with a girl named Yukio) tried to calm the young mutant, but the kid is too angry and despite Deadpool trying to calm him and to tell him who he knows what he feeling like after being turned into a mutate, the kid used his fire powers to blast him out of the street.
Deadpool defeated Russell but discerned the fact that Russell had been abused and molested by the orphanage masters; in response, Deadpool was enraged so shot an orderly, but was stopped by Colossus before he could kill more of the abusers. Deadpool was arrested, as was Russell. who had power- nullifying collars; other than losing his powers, Wade's cancer began growing again due to the loss of his healing factor. Both were transported into the Ice Box prison where they pass their days as inmates who get bullied by Black Tom Cassidy.
One minute later the prison was attacked by a mutant cybernetic soldier named Cable who killed all the evil guards and wanted to kill Russell, Wade defended the kid but due to his cancer symptoms and absence of powers left him helpless as Cable tossed him down a floor, which his back on a table, however, the fall also broke the collar, restoring his strength and regenerative powers, thus Wade could attack Cable, saving Russell. Wade and Cable brawl, with Wade temporarily defeated Cable by taking away his powerful powerful gun; Wade asked him why he wanted to kill a 14-years old kid, Cable revealed to Wade who he comes from the future and had traveled in time to kill Russell to prevent his future rise as an extremely dangerous crimelord, who allowed a post-apocalyptic disaster in his timeline. Cable demanded to know why Wade would even care about Russell, which he answered that he didn't, but this was overheard by the boy who became heartbroken and disillusioned. Then Cable took his gun back and both Wade and Cable, but Wade had pulled a pin from one of Cable's grenades, knocking them both outside of the Ice Box prison, leaving Russell inside safe, yet plotting to find a new protector.
Wade plummeted down the mountainside, crashing into a frozen lake, in which he had another pre-death vision where Vanessa encouraged him to save Russell. To save the boy, Deadpool created a team named X-Force by recruiting Domino, a female mutant who instantly become Wade's close friend, Bedlam, Shatters tar, Vanisher, and a normal human named Peter; together the X-Force Deadpool attempts to save Russell from a mutant prisoner convoy, en route to the mission all the X-Force members, except for Deadpool and Domino, die; Deadpool again fought Cable, until Russell freed the evil Juggernaut. Juggernaut smashed the transport, tore Deadpool in half and escapes with Russell, Deadpool regrouped at Blind Al's house, being transported by Domino, there Wade start to regenerate his posterior body part and he currently have baby-like legs.
There Wade discussed options to save Russell with Blind Al and Weasel and Dopinder, although the others were comically disgusted from Wade's baby legs and disproportionate genitalia; interrupting that moment was Cable arriving in Blind Al's house. Cable offered an allegiance to Wade, so they can counter the power of Russell and Juggernaut together, and prevent them from killing the headmaster, as the first murder was what would taking Russell down the path to becoming a supervillain. Cable revealed to Wade that he needed to kill Russell because in the future, Firefist would kill his family; other than avoiding the death of his wife and daughter, Cable believed that he was, like Deadpool, guilty for causing the deaths of a loved one. Wade and Cable reconcile and becomes allies, despite Cable's disgust of Wade's lower parts being like that of a baby.
Wade's posterior body parts regenerated completely, after which Deadpool detoured to the X-Mansion to apologise to Colossus, as well as request his, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Yukio's assistance in the upcoming battle; however, it appeared as though the X-Men refused, so Deadpool headed out with the available team that he had.
The team go to the orphanage for mutants, where Russell and the Juggernaut had arrived, and then Deadpool, Cable, Domino and Dopinder go to fight Juggernaut, although Dopinder runs away to his taxi when finds out how big is the villain. The heroes fight Juggernaut, but he is too strong and Deadpool being temporarily wounded by a metal fence post in his brain; however, Colossus arrived to help them and save Deadpool, so then Colossus fought Juggernaut and Deadpool alongside Cable, who however still wanted kill Russell. Cable agreed Deadpool a chance to try to convince Russell to not kill the headmaster because it would change him forever; Deadpool's pleas, however, were ignored by Russell, as he wasn't convinced about abandoning revenge, thus he tried to kill Deadpool, despite him admitting that he cared about him and hugs him, Deadpool survived thanks to his healing factor, but he decided to convince Russell by wearing the mutant power-cancelling collar to save Russell's soul and Cable's family in future; Cable believing the boy to be a lost cause, shot at Russell, but Deadpool jumped in front of Russell to take the bullet instead in his chest, leaving Deadpool with a fatal wound due to the collar; thus, Deadpool died after proof that Cable's family survived due to his daughter's plush toy becoming clean. He then said goodbye to all, his self-sacrifice convincing Russell to have a change of heart and therefore the bad future was averted.
Wade was finally reunited with Vanessa in the afterlife, even with his flesh restored to his pre-mutation, but the reunion does not last for long, since Cable, feeling sorry for his new friend Deadpool, time-travels to just before the battle at the Essex House and places Wade's skee-balls token (which he stole from him in the Ice Box) in Wade's uniform, and then Cable reenacted his exact actions during the first time through, with the others merely doing what they did originally, without knowing they were technically repeating what already happened; when it comes to shoot Wade, the bullet hits the skee-ball token and Deadpool does not die, yet the sentiment of the attempted sacrifice still gets Russell to stand down. Domino's luck powers allow her to give the code to unlock the power dampening collar, which was luckily just one number.
As the Mutants and mutate were leaving, the still alive Headmaster emerged from hiding to angrily rant at them; Deadpool, however, stopped his allies from answering his provocations, since it would only prove him right, thus if they leave, they win. Despite this mercy, the Headmaster continued to condemn them as abominations, but his tirade was ended when a taxi hit him so fast, it burst him into bloody chunks. Dopinder exited the vehicle and cheered for his murder as making him a part of X-Force; Deadpool was unaffected by the death, since the Headmaster was an evil man, and he was only killed by another human, thereby they still have the moral high ground.
Later Wade gets Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio to fix Cable's time travel device and then uses it to save Vanessa and Peter, he also "cleans up the timeline" by killing his X-Men Origins: Wolverine's horrible version of himself and Ryan Reynolds before he takes the role of Green Lantern. In a deleted scene, He tries to kill a baby Hitler, but can't bring himself to do it, the aftermath remains unknown, although he told the baby that he might bring Cable, since the jaded future warrior was capable of killing children if they grew to be evil.
Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)[]
In 2018, Wade Wilson traveled to Earth-616 A.K.A the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a job interview conducted by Happy Hogan. While Wade was enthusiastic, Hogan deemed him unsuitable due to his history of dead teammates in the X-Force; Wade pleaded that he needed to be in the Avengers, but Hogan pointed out that the heroes weren't there because they needed it, rather others needed them. Hogan politely and supportively ended the meeting, while telling Wade that he was aiming too high, so he should instead aim for the middle. The rejection depressed Wade so much that he retired his Deadpool persona, joining Peter at his job as a used car salesman. Shortly afterwards, his depression from losing a sense of purpose made him end the relationship with Vanessa, although they remained close friends.
In 2024, Wade was struggling to enjoy the birthday party his friends threw for him. After a while at the party, he was alerted by a knock at the door; Wade met a squad of soldiers from the TVA, and they opened a gateway behind him, forcing him to go to their headquarters. Wade is greeted by Paradox, who explained about the Time Variance Agency and its purpose in supporting the Sacred Timeline; initially Wade believed he was in trouble due to his use of Cable's time traveling device, but Paradox dismissed his changes as irrelevant, as he actually brought Wade because TVA superiors believe he holds great potential, thus wish to recruit him. Paradox used the various display screens to show clips from numerous films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which excited Wade, though he briefly went to insult 20th Century Fox and expressed his delight in joining Disney. One of the screens displayed Thor crying as he held Deadpool, which intrigued Wade, but Paradox told him to forget it as it was from the future.
The TVA provide an improved costume and gear - such as adamantium katanas - so that Wade became Deadpool once more. While Deadpool tried to discuss a work schedule, Paradox told him to forget about his old world as it is doomed; Paradox explained the concept of an Anchor Being, which was an individual of such significance that if they died, their whole universe would also die, although usually in a thousand or more years. Deadpool is shocked to learn he is the Anchor Being, but Paradox laughed at him, correcting that the true significant one was Wolverine, who had an end similar to the Logan (2017) film in Deadpool's reality. Deadpool then asked how can he fix his universe, but Paradox said that he won't and instead of watching the millennia for that universe to die, Paradox had a Time Ripper created that can swiftly erase a timeline.
Refusing to accept the deaths of his friends and universe, Deadpool broke Paradox's nose and stole his TemPad to exhume the supposedly deceased Logan. Deadpool believed that, like himself, Logan's healing factor was so strong that it would prevent actual death. However, Deadpool discovered to his rage that Logan was indeed dead, as nothing remained by his adamantium skeleton and a few patches of leathery skin. TVA soldiers arrive to apprehend him, so he killed them all with the skeleton.
Deadpool began searching the multiverse for a replacement Wolverine. Deadpool encounters comic-accurate short Wolverine, the Cavillrine (Henry Cavill in the role), a crucified Wolverine in an apocalypse world, a savage Wolverine, and various others, but they all end in either extremely violent rejection or Deadpool himself not finding them suitable. Deadpool eventually reached a bar in a world with a Wolverine that he settled on, but Wolverine refused to go with him, and while already drunk, drinks an entire bottle of whiskey; when he prepared to fight, his claws only partially extend, and he then collapsed from intoxication. Deadpool felt validated in the choice upon discovering beneath his civilian garb, he was wearing the comic-accurate yellow supersuit.
Deadpool triumphantly dragged Wolverine into the TVA, announcing that his world will be now safe. Paradox is angered at him due to the broken nose, but he dismissed it as unimportant. Although, upon seeing the Wolverine he found, Paradox mockingly said he would never allow Deadpool to fix his universe; when Wolverine regained consciousness and irritably demanded to know where they were, Paradox claimed that the Wolverine he found was the worst variant of all that are known. Deadpool angrily approached Paradox, who used a Time Stick to prune him, as he vanished, the TemPad was left behind; Wolverine demanded to know where Deadpool was sent, which Paradox answered as the "garbage heap," that is the Void. As Wolverine dove to attack, he was also pruned before his attack reached Paradox.
Deadpool awakens in the Void to see Wolverine above him, which he welcomed and asked for help, but instead Wolverine attacked him; they both brutally fight until Deadpool gets his opponent to stop by claiming that whatever horrible events happened in his universe, the TVA can amend, thus suggesting they partner up to help fulfill each other's goals. While reluctantly, Wolverine agreed to the partnership.
A mysterious voice was heard, which made Deadpool ecstatic as he realised that someone who looked like Steve Rogers/Captain America had arrived and could help them. "Steve" warned them about the danger of lingering too long out in the wasteland, but is interrupted by a convoy of scavenged vehicles arrived. While Deadpool was excited about hearing "Avengers assemble" in person, instead he heard "Flame on!" revealing that "Steve" was actually a variant of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch; in the convoy was Pyro, who absorbed all of Johnny's fire, leaving him to fall and become painfully, but not lethally, hurt. Also in the convoy was Sabretooth, who recognised Wolverine; they engage in a split second battle, as Wolverine easily beheaded his brother. Despite this, the villains are able to use a powerful magnet to take Deadpool, pinned by the magnetic attraction to the adamantium in Wolverine, and take de-powered Johnny all into custody to escort to their base.
Johnny warned the two recent arrivals about Cassandra Nova, as her powers essentially make her the ruler of the Void; he also explained that there are two factions in the Void, Nova's supervillains and a small resistance including Johnny. He also mentioned another force being Alioth, which Deadpool recalled from the Loki series. They arrive at a fortress that was made from the suit and skeleton of an Ant-Man variant, although in the form of Giant-Man. While Deadpool believed a bald headed person in the shadows was Professor X, it was actually Cassandra Nova, who stands up from the wheel chair, to Deadpool's criticism of being ableist.
Cassandra gloats about capturing Johnny, while mocking his efforts to resist as failing. Deadpool then recounted a lengthy, vulgar and degrading description of Cassandra, as well as threats, which he attributed to Johnny. While Johnny denied it, Cassandra used her powers to instantly skin him, leaving his muscles, blood, and inner organs to slop on to the ground. Wolverine tried to attack Cassandra, but she buried him with her powers. Cassandra then monologued about her life for her on ego and frighten her captive; she phased her hand into Deadpool's mind to read and make him relive his memories, and even altered his break up to torment him, although it failed as he knew Vanessa wouldn't say the harsh things that Cassandra implanted. She indulged Deadpool's banter, before Wolverine stabbed her from behind and Deadpool stabbed her chest with his baby knife. However, Cassandra laughed it off, as her psychic abilities allow her to regenerate from any wound.
A massive black cloud approached, with it having red eyes and a maw; Cassandra explained that it was Alioth and she revealed that the Void has two options: enslavement to her or being consumed by Alioth, but she deemed that the duo have no option but to be consumed by the immense creature. The creature's presence caused powerful winds that allowed a distraction for Deadpool and Wolverine to use a small Sentinel foot to fly far away from the compound, crash-landing far away and safe from Cassandra and Alioth. Wolverine condemned Deadpool for getting Johnny killed, but he denied this, claiming he only repeated what he had heard. Before a fight can break out again, Wolverine's strong sense of smell detected food, which alerted the pair to nearby diner.
The food found was spam, but Deadpool gladly ate it, while Wolverine searched every cabinet in the diner, only finding rubbing alcohol, which he drank in lieu of any other liquor. Deadpool quizzed about Wolverine's backstory, joking if he can tell now or is saving it for a Third Act flashback, though Wolverine refused to share in annoyance. After traversing the Void for a while, Deadpool is thrilled to discover a small, hideously ugly dog that wore a vague Deadpool costume. They are met by the dog's owner, a Deadpool variant known as Nicepool; the nice variant is still handsome and has luxuriant hair, and doesn't wear a mask because of his handsomeness, but he explained that was one of many Deadpool variants that get banished to the Void. Nicepool expressed gratitude for finding Dogpool, while also warning them of the Deadpool Corps.
The pair wonder if Nicepool can help them, which he said he could, leading them to a car he was willing to lend. Deadpool expressed disgust at the Honda Odyssey, but Wolverine told him to shut up so they can move on. Deadpool reluctantly surrendered the dog back to Nicepool.
After driving long enough to reach a forest in the Void, Deadpool inadvertently admitted that the TVA might be able to help Wolverine's world, but he doesn't know if they actually could. Wolverine angrily accused him of lying, but he retorted that he made an "educated wish." This provoked Wolverine into attacking again, thus they fight each other around and through the confines of the car. They eventually fight to exhaustion, though possibly Deadpool lost as he was mummified by seatbelts. A new unknown figure recovered them.
Deadpool awakens in a cave, wondering where he was, which the already awakened and whiskey-drinking Wolverine answered as not knowing either. Their questions are answered as being in the base of the resistance, including Elektra (Earth-701306), Blade (Earth-26320), Gambit (cancelled X-Men film) and a now adult X-23 (Earth-17315), although she preferred to be addressed as her name Laura. They ask the two if they saw Johnny, which Deadpool answered with an erroneous emotional story about how he watched helplessly as Cassandra killed him for no reason, which Wolverine scoffed to and sardonically alluded to the truth without revealing it. Deadpool, however, was uplifted at their stated goal of defeating Cassandra; he expressed excitement if they also have Magneto, but they state he had already died, and his helmet - which could stifle Cassandra's powers - was already destroyed, both to Deadpool's frustration. However, there was an alternate option of Juggernaut's helmet as it was of similar composition to Magento's one. They believe they could retrieve Juggernaut's helmet, thus Deadpool rallied them for the upcoming battle; but Wolverine decried the plan as a suicide mission that he held no interest in following.
At night, Wolverine is drinking alone by the fire, when Laura approached; he told her to leave, but she sat on an adjacent log. Laura revealed that Wolverine reminded her of her Logan, but Wolverine dismissed that as he considered himself the worst one like Paradox said. Wolverine finally admitted why he wore the yellow supersuit, despite not following superheroic actions anymore; he mentioned about how he had always previously refused to wear the suit, and rejected Professor Xavier's attempts to help him, until one day he left on his usual drinking routine. Laura claimed that she knew how the story ended, but Wolverine pleaded to let him confess; because he wasn't there, the humans came and killed every one of the X-Men. Wolverine then sought revenge, but ended up killing guilty and innocent alike, and he enjoyed doing it; thus, he wears the yellow suit to remember his friends and to remind him of his failure. Wolverine then sadly stated that he isn't the right man, but before Laura left, she said neither was her father, but they are able to save the day in the end regardless.
The Legacy team and Deadpool drive to Cassandra's giant skeleton fortress; Blade used a rocket launcher from the Punisher (Earth-58627) to breach the hand gates. As the Legacies and Deadpool disembark from the Honda Odyssey, from the trunk emerged Wolverine. A chaotic assault began, with the mayhem allowing Deadpool and Wolverine to infiltrate the literal headquarters. Cassandra is able to effortlessly hold them at bay, throwing Deadpool so hard against the wall that he was knocked ou; she then phases her fingers into Wolverine's skull to touch and manipulate his brain. Cassandra detailed how she felt his guilt and sorrow. Meanwhile, Laura served Juggernaut's ankles, then decapitated him; she carried the helmet to the duo. Before she is dragged down, she threw the helmet. Inside Wolverine's head, Cassandra claimed that she has him now, but he corrected that he had her, as while distracted in his head, Deadpool planted the helmet on her head.
Deadpool and Wolverine then demand that Cassandra help them escape the Void, but she refused, while also pointing out that they need to remove the helmet for her to help them return to the universe, but if they do, she will sadistically kill them. Her threats are interrupted as she is shot three times in the torso, with the gun fire from Pyro; he irritably vented about how frustrating it was having to obey her insane orders over the years, but now he won't need to anymore, although before he continued, he was knocked unconscious by Wolverine. At an impasse, Wolverine explained how Charles Xavier was compassionate, and he would have done anything to save Cassandra from the Void and take her home; however, she merely retorted that the Void was her home. Nevertheless, Wolverine noted how Charles had saved his life, and saw potential in him that he always doubted, but wanted to honor, and so he convinced Deadpool to remove the helmet from Cassandra.
With the helmet removed, Cassandra quickly healed herself; she revealed the source of escape arrived in the form of a wizard, whom she skinned and wore his skin for a time, before discarding it but keeping his trinket. Deadpool realised the wizard was a variant of Dr. Strange, and the item was a sling ring that made "Marvel sparkly circle." Cassandra used the ring to create a portal, although she said that they should be fast, since Alioth is approaching. Deadpool and Wolverine jump and make it through the portal, as Alioth crashed upon the fortress, presumably eating anyone it could.
Due to knowing of a TVA outpost near Deadpool's residence, when the duo enter his universe, they make their way towards it. However, they are stopped by Paradox, who angrily exclaimed about how they can't be meddling in multiversal affairs. All are interrupted by another magic portal opening through which stepped Pyro, who was killed by broken neck by Cassandra Nova, as she also appeared, still alive. Cassandra revealed that she was happy in the Void, but due to Paradox setting Pyro against her, she wanted revenge; when she phased her hand into Paradox's head, she learned about the Time Ripper, thus she decided on a new plan, with her happier at the thought of erasing every universe, except the Void, making her a god. Deadpool and Wolverine are powerfully thrown by Cassandra's telekinetic blast, while she dragged Paradox down to the subway TVA outpost, to continue reading his mind on how to use the Time Ripper.
As they recover, Deadpool is thrilled to find Dogpool again, but he wasn't so thrilled to find Nicepool emerge from the portal; the good-natured Merc warned them that Cassandra's forces are coming, which are constituted by a hundred Deadpool variants. This is proven true as the Deadpool Corps emerge from the portal, with Ladypool at the lead. To prevent a battle, Deadpool argued that the whole multiverse thing was a bad idea, claiming that Wizard of Oz did it right and it should have been left alone afterwards; he finished by claiming that they should just accept the loss and more on to a different concept.
Ladypool and Headpool, however, countered that they are mercenaries and will always finish the job; the Deadpool Corps open fire, causing Wolverine and Deadpool - using Nicepool as a human shield - to retreat behind a car. Wolverine chastised Deadpool for using his nice version as a bullet sponge, which he dismissed with denial and the fact that he'd be fine due to his healing factor; however, Nicepool expressed confusion, thereby revealing that he was one variant who didn't regenerate from physical injury. To chase after Dogpool. Deadpool again used Nicepool as a human shield, yet trying to convince him that he would be fine; while still out in the open, Deadpool told Nicepool to mutter positive affirmations, which he did until interrupted by a shot that made his head explode.
After ensuring the ratty dog was safe, Deadpool and Wolverine regroup and executed a counterattack; they violently plow and shoot their way down the street, ripping and slicing apart the Deadpool Corps. It appeared as though they had won, but the Deadpool Corps all had extremely powerful healing factors, thus swiftly recovered from the battle. Before another battle could begin, Peter - dressed in the previous Deadpool costume - arrived to help; due to a multiversal unifying fact of Peters being with Deadpool, the Deadpool Corps are so excited and enamoured to meet another Peter that they cease hostilities completely, allowing the anti-hero duo to advance into the TVA outpost.
The duo discover Paradox still alive, who revealed that Cassandra had accessed the Time Ripper, and the complete unraveling of all reality is imminent. They demand to know a solution, which Paradox said there wasn't one, until Wolverine threatened him to think; Paradox admitted that the machine was powered by mixing matter and antimatter, but if a circuit was made between the power sources beneath the machine, it would create a feedback loop that would create an overcharge and destroy the machine instead of reality. Paradox warned them that anyone who became the circuit would be erased, as antimatter would flow into them, destroying them regardless of healing factor. Nevertheless, the duo proceed with the plan.
At the shielded entrance of the power generator, Wolverine expressed gratitude for being saved from his sorrow and hopelessness, then volunteered to be the circuit, since no world had anyone left for him anyway, so at least he will be able to finally be a hero and free. Deadpool appeared to respect his decision, but sucker-punched him, sneaking through the shielded door, locking it shut; while Wolverine demanded to know what he was doing, Deadpool answered that he was being noble, although briefly delayed to tease his ally through the glass.
Deadpool grasped one of the pillars of power cables, and stretched it out as it burned through him; he struggled to reach the opposing pillar, but was unable to make the distance. The stability of his universe rapidly decreased from 100%, and touching into single digits; before it seemed over, Wolverine had broken through the door, and grabbed the other pillar, joining his free hand to Deadpool's, thereby completing the circuit. Intense energy surged through them both, causing excruciating pain; however, their efforts paid off, as the universe's integrity returned to maximum, and the feedback loop burst into the Time Ripper, obliterating it and Cassandra Nova.
As Paradox's actions were unsanctioned, authority from the TVA sent a team commanded by Hunter B-15 to investigate; Paradox initially lied to deflect responsibility, blaming the TVA for failing to contain Cassandra Nova, and claiming that the sacrificed heroes were his friends. However, the lie was exposed when Deadpool and shirtless Wolverine revealed that they had survived. Paradox was arrested and taken to the TVA to face judgement for his actions. Hunter B-15 commended Deadpool and Wolverine for their heroism; Deadpool explained that while one person would die becoming the circuit, two with extreme healing factors could share the antimatter's damage without oblivion.
Wolverine is invited to Deadpool's place for dinner with his friends, along with Dogpool; Deadpool had convinced the TVA superiors to rescue their surviving Legacy allies from the Void, who are also in attendance, now allowed to be residents of his universe.
Wolverine told Wade to hand over the erratic dog, so that Wade himself could talk to Vanessa and reconcile their relationship.
In a post-credit scene, Deadpool exonerated himself of culpability from Johnny Storm's death by playing TVA recordings that displayed that Johnny indeed said all of the horrible and vulgar things that Deadpool claimed that he did.
