I'll Give a Million is a 1938 American drama film directed by Walter Lang.

Plot[]

Louie, a tramp (Peter Lorre) saved from suicide. A bet. And a million to be given to a tramp. So, a lot of tramps try to get the million, and under all of them there is the millionaire Tony Newlander (Warner Baxter), that wanted to give away the million. A woman is always involved. So Jean Hofmann (Marjorie Weaver) is finally asked to marry Newlander. And he puts it as a condition: if she marries him, he donates the Million to the poor of the city. During the ceremony, where rich and poor are sitting together, some of them are strangely scratching themselves.
