Rio is a 2011 video game created by 20th Century Fox, Blue Sky Studios, THQ, Eurocom, and Bink Video, and is based on the film with the same name. Its gameplay is similar of the Mario Party series. Players can choose six of the series' main avian characters, Blu, Jewel, Rafael, Eva, Pedro, and Nico.
The Xbox 360 version has three exclusive bonus minigames included, as started on the cover of the game.
The musical platform can be also released in the Nintendo DS.
The players play through the minigames in order of the movie. These are shown along with your movie host character on the story mode screen. Locations vary from the Moose Lake to Copacabana Beach to the Carnaval. Players play through Moose Lake first before moving onward. Players must complete three minigames at each location. After doing so, they are returned to the story mode screen. If the player is ranked first after each location's minigames, they'll be able to progress to the next location (with the exception of Carnaval). If the player doesn't finish first, the player will be brought back to the main menu, although this only applies to single player, and multiplayer with at least one CPU.
